I was assigned to create the 2016 Christmas video for Mindvalley's audience, fans and customers.
Inspired by Wes Anderson and in light with the current chase in technology trends like VR and AR, I thought I'll do the opposite by giving it a twist back in time to the nostalgic classic technology.
All the way back to the 1962 viewmaster toy to have a peek behind the scenes back at HQ during Christmas season high.
Like how we like to add a technology edge to our works, I've added a boomerang feature to this classic little toy. And with the concept of an old school viewmaster crop frame, this video is design to be easily optimised for social media and mobile format sharing at the same time retaining Wes's symmetrical cinematography style.
As a set to this campaign, I've also teamed up with Oflavia Veranez to produce a series of Instagram Flatlays with the theme of Behind the Scenes of a Mindvalley Christmas.
It also serve as a window to feature some of our top selling channels and products of the year; The Code of The Extraordinary Mind, AFest, Quest and Elula.
